I soon realized that practicing within the conventional allopathic school of medicine was pennywise and pound foolish. The focus was on treating the symptoms and manifestations of disease, rather than addressing their causes. Even with an emphasis on prevention, I was taught to diagnose a disease early and treat it, instead of primarily recommending changes in lifestyle to reverse it or prevent its emergence in the first place. Emotional, spiritual and physical balancing in optimal health was rarely addressed.
He integrates the best of both worlds by not throwing out the baby with the bathwater. Wherever possible natural approaches and remedies are used to bring the body back into balance. If there is a temporary need for a traditional pharmaceutical approach to containing a particular , then that can be utilized until more holistic changes and therapies take hold.
He is a member of both the American Academy of Family Practice and the American Holistic Medical Association.
His areas of interest are bio-identical hormone replacement for menopause, andropause (the male menopause) and hypothyroidism. In addition, he evaluates and treats environmental toxicity on the body producing such illnesses as ADHD, ADD, autism, and other learning and behavioral disorders.
